MEDIA TOUR SOUTH AFRICA
FIFA and the 2010 Organising Committee are organising a Four-Day Media Tour to South Africa from 23 (arrival in Cape Town) to 26 November 2009 (departing from Johannesburg) – visiting Cape Town, Polokwane and Johannesburg. The tour will provide you with an overview of the ongoing preparations for 2010 FIFA World Cup and also afford you an opportunity to explore the country and meet their people.
We are kindly inviting one member of your sports department to be part of this tour.
The programme will feature a number of activities including a round-table discussion with Danny Jordaan, CEO of the Organising Committee, 3 stadium site visits (incl. Green Point in Cape Town and Soccer City in Johannesburg), a PSL game (Kaizer Chiefs v. SuperSport.), and a visit to a social football project in one of the townships.
We will also facilitate interviews with ex-Bafana Bafana footballers such as former New York Cosmos player Jomo Sono as well as representatives from the Host Cities. You will also get to meet and speak to representatives from the South African government and police. Further included is a visit to Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg. A more detailed programme will be provided nearer the time.
We would be very pleased if you would kindly accept this invitation and ask for your reply until the beginning of next week. Please address: Wolfgang Eichler, firstname.lastname@example.org, Mobile: +27832010471, Office: +27115672571.
Best regards, FIFA Media Team
