1.The on-board disk controller treats disk volumes as logical disk devices comprising one or more complete physical disks. Once you create a volume, the operating system uses and maintains the volume as if it were a single disk. By providing this logical volume management layer, the software overcomes the restrictions imposed by physical disk devices.
2.When people perform mental tasks—adding numbers, comparing shapes, identifying faces—different areas of their brains become active, and brain scans show these active areas as brightly colored squares on an otherwise dull gray background.
3.If you have trouble connecting to your ISP with your Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) line, first verify that your Service Provider ID (SPID information) is programmed correctly into the unit. Your telephone company is in charge of assigning SPIDs. When the SPIDs or switch types aren’t right, you’ll notice that the D channel won’t work. Then you are probably dealing with an interoffice trunking problem.
In other words, when you dial your telephone company’s central office, a problem occurs when that call is handed off to your ISP’s telephone company. You’ll need to call both telephone companies to open a “trouble ticket" to make sure that the handoff is provisioned correctly. According to a research, interoffice trunking accounts for 80% to 90% of ISDN problems.
