The aim of writing this ad in English is to demonstrate my core teaching methodology, which places tremendous emphasis on using English as your “mind operating language”. In essence it's the concept of processing thoughts and information in your mind via English instead of translating them from Chinese to English and vice versa. To enable this, in our class we will communicate in English only, regardless of the subject matter or your current English level. If you're able to understand and follow my main points conveyed in this ad, you already have some foundational advantage in learning English compared to a lot of people. Having made that statement, it would require an unwavering conviction and continuous hard work to fully adopt this new learning approach. It's not inconceivable to claim that it's doable for anyone who is driven enough to succeed, but the fact of the matter is that the more fixed-minded you are, the more difficult it would be when it comes to fully embracing the English operating mind. And the opposite is true.
The benefit of acquiring an English operating mind is nothing short of profound, as it fundamentally shifts the paradigm in the way you approach the language learning process and trains your mind systematically to think and react in English, which in turn eliminates the need for translating ideas back and forth between Chinese and English. It is important to note, however, that in order for this new habit pattern to kick in, you're encouraged to develop the discipline to practice thinking and articulating ideas in English both in and out of the classroom. In our class I will help you strategically grasp the most critical points and get you jump started on this new learning approach, but after class it is up to you to dynamically implement it in your daily activities and gradually embody the spirit of an English operating mind through continuous learning and practice.
