在国观逛了很久，也没为坛子做什么事情，自己翻译了些赫芬顿邮报上关于中国GDP超过日本成为世界第二 美国网民的回复，不知道算不算转载，麻烦斑竹了。英语一般，大家凑合着看。评论有3940多条，只能选取其中一些最热门的回复。

I used to give seminars on international trade programs to many large companies.
I would always start my speech....with "Why did Columbus sail the Ocean blue?"
I was amazed HOW many did NOT know the answer to that question.
The answer was to find a more efficient trade route with CHINA. China has always been a beacon for trade. HOWEVER, for many years in the 20th century they were RESTRICTED from trade with any WTO (or previous to that GATT) country. AS such they were limited in what they could SELL outside their borders.
The reason they are gaining so much is international trade. THEY have become the largest exporter to the rest of the world. Especially to the US..the US On the other hand has become the world’’s largest IMPORTER. WE don’’t sell anything.
Trade needs to work both ways in order for it to be a positive for EVERYONE. Ideally we should be TRADING (selling) OUR indigenous articles and specialties to other nations and THEY should TRADING theirs with us. THAT is how it is supposed to work. Sadly, that isn’’t what happened.

Thank you CVS, Walgreens for your cluttered counters full of horse and frog shaped rubberbands jr American consumers beg borrow and steal just because it’’s the newest and neatest "must have" crap for an American kid.

Why is this suprising? More than that, I expect the US will lose its number one spot sooner rather than later. If there was a checklist of "how to cause a declining state to outright fail", the American government seens to be doing everything it can to live up to that. Wars, stagnant economy, a depleting treasury, massive resource consumption, failing educational system, disastrous infrastructure, etc, etc.
China has many faults, but I think one of the imost dangerous and sad lessons it will show this century is that democracy is NOT required for a state to be succesful, perhaps worse it may even be a hindrance. Should the US, the great experiment, continue to slide downwards, it will be a grim message to other countries.

Communism is the perfect capitalist governance model. In Chinese style state capitalism corporations have all the rights and workers are slaves to the state.
Sadly the US is rejecting socialism which was what created the 1950’s relative prosperity. Instead we have embraced corporate communism.

It’s a amazing to witness how strong American exceptionalism runs here. Importantly, it gives us a dose of prevailing US attitudes -- what’s out there.
Everyone is an expert on China: the sound bytes and headlines they absorb from American news media make them authorities on this eastern country. More disturbing, however, is the tone of indignation for any country -- China or otherwise -- that begins to approach America’s dominance.
These folks bathe in hubris and self-interest while ignoring important aspects of China’s history.
But maybe more so, American’s are spoiled. They’ve been told they’re #1 all their lives and now have come to expect it -- rather they want it served to them on a silver platter.

We have spent the last 10 years making enemies and the Chinese have spent that time making friends.
Who’s investments will pay the best return over the next 20 to 30 years?
The damage that Bush did to the United States of America will take decades to calculate. And Obama is perpetuating the disaster.

如果有一天，国美电器用便宜的越南货和印度货代替中国制造的时候，中国人又会怎么说呢？
当然，这只是假设，现在的中国制造仍然是世界最便宜。但是想想这种假设的情景，可以让人跳出国家和民族的思维局限，去发现这个世界的现实，那就是资本主义世界市场对所有国家，企业和个人越来越无孔不入的控制和影响。

I will never hate or fear the Chinese like Americans did the USSR. I am happy for them that they are doing so well by having nearly all the worlds means of production - or a whole lot of it. What I am not happy about is they are making the same mistakes the USA made in the 20th century. THey are ruining their environment for short term gain. They are damming up rivers and building coal power plant after coal power plant, its just incredible the thoughtlessness. I have heard all kinds of stories about the air in Shanghai. Didnt the city of Beijing have to shut down for 12 days to let the poisonous air filter out?
So yeah, being #2 is great and all, but I can think of about 40 different countries Id rather live in than China, but I wish them well.

不知道是不是网特和间谍，但绝对是神经病。在生活中对社会不满的往往是混到中年，有一定力量并且能切到实处的说。网络上呢。。。。

Chinese made products are garbage and often toxic. The Chinese can manufacture products at costs far less than other countries because they pay slave wages to their workers, they spend nothing on quality control, and there is very little markup on govt. acquired or controlled raw materials. We cant compete with this. Our entire system is based upon a free market but the Chinese only participate in the "selling side" of the free market. The "manufacturing side" is controlled to ensure that they can undersell all competition. And it works. Over the past 15 years, theyve squeezed nearly every country out of manufacturing - weve all become consumers for the Chinese.
We send our hard-earned dollars over to China and they send us back poorly manufactured junk that either doesnt work properly to begin with or breaks/wears out in a short period of time. Plus, if they can save a few yuan, they wont hesitate to send over products containing toxic chemicals. We buy this crap because its cheap but we arent really saving any money since we have to replace this junk over and over again. I refuse to buy Chinese garbage but its not always possible since everything has the "made in China" label now. I tried to buy a televsion a few weeks ago. I went to 8 stores before I found one that wasnt made in China. It was made in Malaysia. Wasnt long ago that Magnavox made TVs five miles from my home.

WT肯定有，在国观他们可能有不同的阵营，也就是雇主不同，我认为他们的雇主可能有台湾（网特什么事都爱扯到TG身上，最恨TG的就是台湾刮民当），朝鲜（结合前段时间有人疯狂黑韩，而最想中韩关系恶化的是朝鲜。因此部分网特的雇主可能就是朝鲜），美国（不用解释啦），及各种分解、反华组织
